Samantha Vanterpool

Samantha Vanterpool Rucker is a Senior Attorney in the General Litigation Group at the Spiggle Law Firm

She is passionate about producing the best outcome for her client. Her motto is “It’s more important to be effective than it is to be right.” Her practice focuses on providing representation to both public and private sector employees in all phases of pre and post litigation. She strongly advocates for individuals with claims of retaliation or discrimination based upon race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, or color under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. She also tackles age discrimination claims, disability discrimination claims and violations of the Family Medical Leave Act.

Samantha was born in the Caribbean and raised in the United States Virgin Islands. A full academic scholarship brought her to the mainland to study Government and Politics at George Mason University. She believes in volunteerism and has twice served as Chairwoman of the Governor’s Advisory on Service and Volunteerism and served as a board member for a headstart program in Northern Virginia. If she is not working or spending time with her husband and son, she is volunteering in the community trying to make a difference.

Prior to joining the Spiggle Law Firm, Samantha had over 15 years of experience as a solo practitioner, Assistant Attorney General and insurance defense attorney. During those years, she has represented private individuals, public sector employees and agencies, and huge corporations including Liberty Mutual, Walmart and Ahold. As a result, she has garnered the skill to analyze cases from the plaintiff and defense perspective and developed effective case strategies. Her wealth of experience has afforded her the opportunity to develop skills necessary at all stages of settlement and litigation.
