Attorney – General Litigation Group

About Ivey:

Ivey Best is an Attorney within the General Litigation Group at the Spiggle Law Firm. Her practice focuses on the representation of employees in a wide-variety work-related violations of law.

Ivey’s practice focuses on the litigation of employment claims, including claims of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, and gender identity discrimination/retaliation claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. She also represents employees in age discrimination claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA); disability discrimination and accommodation claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); and retaliation/interference claims under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Under the Lead Attorney’s supervision, Ivey handles the firm’s contingency matters.

Ivey was born and raised in Alabama, where she attended the University of Alabama and Cumberland School of Law. Ivey was in the top 15% of her law school class and a member of the Cumberland Law Review. While in law school, Ivey authored and published a peer-reviewed comment on obstetric violence (violence against women during labor and delivery). During and after law school, Ivey worked at a small, cutting edge Plaintiff’s employment law firm in Alabama, gaining vital experience in every area of the practice. Thereafter, Ivey moved to Washington D.C. and began practicing at the Spiggle Law Firm.

Since at Spiggle, Ivey has represented hundreds of employees and helped secure millions of dollars in compensation for her clients. Ivey helps clients secure pre-litigation resolution, as well as jury verdicts for those she represents.
