Joanne began her legal career specializing in the area of government contract and construction contract litigation where she handled all aspects of claims and disputes resolution. She held first-chair responsibilities for five-week multimillion dollar federal contract claims and argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
On the employment side, Joanne has represented both employers and employees in employment dispute resolution. Her practice includes representing private sector clients in state and federal courts as well as administrative hearings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Merit Systems Protection Board for federal employees.
Joanne holds a Bachelor’s degree in American History from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., from which she graduated cum laude. She also received her law degree from Catholic University, and while a University student, she interned with the U.S. Department of State in the Office of the Historian.
Joanne is the author of “Employee’s Guide to Discrimination and Termination,” and “Planning for Pets: Trusts, Leash Laws and More,” both published by Real Life Legal. Joanne is admitted to practice in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
